As in past years, we’re again innovating on what a gala can be, starting with an intimate experience in The Salon at 6:30 pm and moving to The Supper Club at 8 pm.

Honorees
The Santo Domingo Family count among the earliest and most generous supporters of The Shed, with Andrés Santo Domingo serving as a Founding Board Member since 2014. Andrés, his wife Lauren, and their entire family have been steadfast in their dedication to The Shed’s mission and vision, and innovative programs. Over the years they have made possible a broad range of groundbreaking installations, performances, and programs.
As The Founding Bank of The Shed, M&T Bank has partnered with us since the very beginning, providing crucial bridge financing that helped fund our design, planning, construction, and operations. Once we began welcoming audiences in April 2019, the Bank, along with its subsidiary wealth management firm, Wilmington Trust, also became a generous underwriter of The Shed’s live performance programs, sponsoring productions like Soundtrack of America, Straight Line Crazy, and this fall’s presentation of David Ives and Stephen Sondheim’s musical Here We Are.
Artists
Three-time Grammy Award–winning artist Isabel Leonard has established herself as one of the most in demand performers as a star on the world’s leading stages and screens. The 2023 – 2024 season sees Ms. Leonard’s debut with the Bayersiche Staatsoper as Angelina in Jean-Pierre Ponnelle’s production of La Cenerentola, and a return to Los Angeles Opera to sing the roles of Donna Elvira in the Kasper Holton production of Don Giovanni as well as her signature role of Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia. She also returns to Houston Grand Opera for her role debut as Maria in Francesca Zamebllo’s production of The Sound of Music, and to Washington National Opera to reprise her appearance as the title character in Offenbach’s La Périchole. Concert work includes opening the Dallas Symphony’s season in a special gala performance with Emanuel Aix, an appearance hosting Palm Beach Opera’s season gala, and a live recording of Stravinsky’s Pulcinella with Gustavo Gimeno conducting the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. Additional concert appearances include Ravel’s Schéhérazade with both the New World Symphony and longtime collaborator Stéphane Denève and with the Orchestre symphonique de Québec, and an 11-city concert tour with renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli. Ms. Leonard also appears in recital with Pablo Sáinz Villegas at the Philharmonic Society of Orange County, reprising their program of songs in Spanish.
The 2022 – 2023 season saw Ms. Leonard’s house debut at Teatro alla Scala as Miranda in Thomas Adès’s The Tempest, as well as her house debut at Houston Grand Opera to sing Charlotte in Werther, conducted by Robert Spano. Continuing her long-time collaboration with Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra music director Stéphane Denève, she appears as Marguerite in a concert performance of Berlioz’s La damnation de Faust, and appeared in a tour of South America for concerts at Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Orquestra Acadêmica Mozarteum Brasileiro, in São Paulo, and at Teatro Positivo in Curitiba, Brazil. Ms. Leonard also performed a concert of arias with the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal at the 56,000 seat Parque Olympique. In the recital hall, Ms. Leonard partners with Spanish guitarist Pablo Sáinz Villegas for performances with Lincoln Center Presents the Metropolitan Opera at Alice Tully Hall, LA Opera at the Colburn School, San Diego Opera at the La Jolla Music Society, the Harris Theatre in Chicago, and the Conservatorìo de Música de Puerto Rico. Ms. Leonard also joined renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli on a five-city concert tour in arenas across the United States.
